BREAKING NEWS! HUGE Tag Match Set For Upcoming ROH Show in Ohio!

Credit: ROH Wrestling

Hey guys, it's Bowen from the Rest Hold Party back with some ROH news.

ROH has recently posted a photo on their Twitter confirming a HUGE match for the ROH tag team titles at ROH: The Experience as Hanson and Rowe, otherwise known as WarMachine, take on the current Ring of Honor tag team champions The Young Bucks when ROH shows up in Ohio on the twelfth of February. This is also the first time these two teams have gone one on one and all I have to say is ... The Young Bucks are done fucked.

What are your thoughts on ROH booking this match? Do you think the Young Bucks have any chance of breaking the protective beards of the two giants put in front of them, or will the Buck stop here?

Ring Of Honor Wrestling-Episode #265 (Review)

ROH! ROH! ROH! Hello readers, I am the Local Hero himself, the man forever known as The Review Guy, Cameron Mcdonley with another review. As you can infer, this is another review of one of the most consistent, enjoyable, and all around the best pure wrestling show on this planet, Ring Of Honor! Following two specials emanating from MCU Park, we are now in the midst of the fallout from what is considered by many as PPV of the year for ROH, All-Star Extravaganza! Without any further interruptions, let's head to the Lakeland Civic Center for this week's hour of amazing wrestling action!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The show opens with an unmistakable entrance by one of the most notorious wrestling factions to come around in years, the Bullet Club. Led by the Ring Of Honor World Champion, Adam Cole, they made quite the presence at the PPV a month ago, with Kyle O' Reilly being taken out by Adam Page, the champion himself besting Michael Elgin in a solid encounter and the Young Bucks regaining the ROH World Tag Team Championships once again in the most brutal Ladder War in company history. Imaginably, they narrowed all of those impressive feats in one promo that was no doubt a trademark of this stable. They bragged and they basked in their glory while arrogantly displaying their overconfidence. A very good heel promo by the Bullet Club to start off the broadcast.
Rating: 3/5

The match that opened this hour was far from your average contest, as it was an uncontrollable brawl between Shane Taylor, Keith Lee, and War Machine, who have shown a lot of hatred towards one another in recent weeks. All of that was display in a fight that was a war between these two teams, no pun intended. No headlocks or moves here, just a lot of leniency by the official as there were punches thrown, chairs wielded and many other happenings that in any other profession would immediately be classified as disorderly conduct and possible assault. After all the blood that was shed in this match and all the malice that was behind each shot and throw, War Machine obtained the victory but it was far from over, as Shane Taylor attacked Ray Rowe from behind alongside his partner Keith Lee, who had no problem doing the same to Hanson. This rivalry is far, far from over, regardless of the thoughts that some ROH fans have about this feud.
Rating: 3.5/5

The 6-Man Tag Team Tournament continues in our next match, as one of the most entertaining stables in wrestling by my estimation, The Cabinet oppose Jason Kincaid, Leon St. Giovanni and Shaheem Ali in a match that was not the best match I've seen from any of these 6 men, but it was still enjoyable, as Caprice Coleman bumped like a madman because that's his usual routine, Kenny King showed off his uncanny ability to be athletic and quick as a fox in that ring, Kincaid impressed me once again with his agility and Rhett Titus was just being, well Rhett Titus. I couldn't tell you the exact time that the match lasted, but it lasted a decent amount of time with the right people going over, which was The Cabinet. Fun match!
Rating: 3/5

Our main event of the evening was an exciting one, at least for me, as Jay Lethal was up against one of the most underrated wrestlers in ROH, Silas Young. This one had the potential to be so much more than it was, with Lethal being a exceptional competitor and Silas having all the tools to be ROH World Champion, but with all the combustible elements such as Adam Cole being on commentary until he interfered, Kyle O' Reilly attacking Cole and the Bullet Club causing the match to be a no-contest, it fell flat after 15 minutes of very solid in-ring action. Although the no-contest allowed for an exciting ending to television this week with all of the men involved brawling over the championship and Silas Young standing tall at the end with the title in his grasp for the moment, what could've been a phenomenal match was cut short. That's all I have to complain about however, still highly enjoyable!
Rating: 3.5/5

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Although I gave this episode a lower rating this week, I still enjoyed it and to be honest, it was still the best show I've seen this week next to the latest episode of Lucha Underground. That's all I have to say, it was fun to watch.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, that's it for this review. I will see you all next week with more reviews! Goodbye Everybody!

ROH Episode #263 (Review)

Welcome back ladies and gents, I am the Local Hero, the Review Guy Cameron Mcdonley, and this time, I have the esteemed privilege of taking you all out to a ball game! That's right, this edition of Ring Of Honor Wrestling is broadcasted from MCU Park, as it is a special known as Field Of Honor!!! So without further ado, let's hit the ring for more exciting ROH action!

Our opening contest of the night is a Ring Of Honor World Television Championship match between Bobby Fish and EVIL. This match was an enjoyable one, as EVIL continued his wicked ways and disrespected the Code Of Honor and the rules every time opportunity knocked on his door. However, it was far from enough for the Los Ingobernables member to wrest the title from his opposition, as "The Infamous" Bobby Fish locked in a rear naked choke and obtained another outstanding submission victory! Not to mention, there was no shortage of the usual martial arts maneuvers displayed by the champion, as he applied the pressure on every hold, strike and counterattack he did until the match commenced with his competitive adversary tapping on the mat.
Rating: 3.5/5

The following match that was to succeed a solid Television Title match was one with a historic footnote attached to it, as the IWGP Intercontinental Championship is defended for the first time ever in the United States, as the champion (at that time) "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin put his title on the line against one of the most impressive upstart athletes in Ring Of Honor history, Donovan Dijak. This competition was one that had a completely different tone from the rest, as these two did not pull any punches and gave each other everything they had in what was sure to go down as a historic match in history, no matter how large or minute that footnote will be. Dijak may have had a highly physical match with Bobby Fish at All-Star Extravaganza just recently, but this contest showed that he can match power with the best of them, and impressively enough, that includes a machine like Elgin, who has had a stellar year in multiple promotions. The championship was successfully defended indeed, but one can truly ponder how far the challenger Dijak will go in his career, as he is still fairly young.
Rating: 4/5

After two exceptional one-on-one encounters, we shift gears to what should, and will be a frantic 8-Man Tag Team main event. The Motor City Machine Guns, ACH and Lio Rush formed together to combat the Bullet Club, which consisted of the Young Bucks, Hangman Page and Yujiro Takahashi on this particular occasion. As I rightfully predicted, this match was sheer chaos, just complete utter mayhem in the best way, as all 8 men were on top of their game in this insane contest. When you have the caliber of athletes that these wrestlers were in the ring, and when you know all of these competitors have a high-flying background, you just had to know that this was gonna be the conclusion of such combustible elements. High spots everywhere, superkicks were ever present and high-impact moves were fired off one after the other in what was a pure blast to watch, and I guarantee you, the fans there had to feel the same way. Although it wasn't the better wrestling match of the night, it was surely satisfying seeing a fast-paced battle.
Rating: 3.85/5

Full Show Rating: 4/5

This was most certainly a highly enjoyable show, as there wasn't any angles in the show, just very fun, exciting and intriguing matches. I have no negatives about this show as always, but this edition of their television definitely had a different flavor to it, and I turned off my computer as a satisfied wrestling fan. That's all that really matters is that at the end of the day, people enjoy it.

That was it for this review, I hope you have enjoyed coming along for this wild ride as much as I did scribing it to you all. I am the Local Hero, the Review Guy Cameron Mcdonley, and I am afraid it is my time to sign off. Goodbye everybody!

ROH: All-Star Extravaganza Review! (9/30/16)

Good morning ladies and gents, I am the Local Hero, the Review Guy Cameron Mcdonley, and today, I am here to review what just might be PPV of the year for Ring Of Honor. Yes, I am finally reviewing All-Star Extravaganza 8!!! As per usual, I'm gonna stop talking, and get to writing, because this was epic! Let's get straight to the festivities!!

This incredible show begins with a television title match between Bobby Fish and rising ROH wrestler Donovan Dijak. The match was not the best match of the night, but it was still a great showing from both men, as Bobby Fish's offense was as submission based as you can get and Dijak was not afraid to go full steam ahead with his power and his uncanny speed. The champion was just mere seconds away from seeing his title slip from his grasp when he got hit with Feast Your Eyes, but luckily enough his foot was on the bottom rope. The beginning of the end came when Dijak missed one of the most beautiful moonsaults I've seen in my life, and it wasn't long before his opponent Bobby Fish applied an inescapable rear naked choke, ending the match by submission.
Rating: 3.5/5

The match that was to follow this solid match was a four-corner survival between ANX (Kenny King & Rhett Titus), Dalton Castle & Colt Cabana, War Machine (Hanson & Rowe) and Shane Taylor & Keith Lee. This was still a good match, as there was a lot of notable spots including a sequence that included an impressive frog splash by Rhett Titus and a pain-inflicting clothesline by Shane Taylor that sent his love sick adversary flipping in the air. All the massive wrestlers in this match including a 400 pound monster known as Keith Lee launched their bodies to the outside, leaving a devastated Rhett Titus and eccentric Dalton Castle in the ring alone. Castle hits a bang-a-rang, obtaining a huge victory for himself and a true ROH legend in Colt Cabana.
Rating: 3.5/5

After we hear from Nigel McGuinness and his worries about tonight's main event, we cut to another satisfying dose of in-ring action as Dragon Lee faced Kamaitachi in what I believe was one of the dark horse matches of the night. Many expected it to be a good one including myself, but the match we got was worth seeing every minute of. These two men took a lot of risks throughout this match. Multiple dives, hard strikes and one of the most sickening brainbusters I've ever seen in my life. That would've easily been the end of the match right there, but these two men were more intent on destroying their bodies than ending what has already been an insane match. It perorates with a Phoenix Suplex that had Kamaitachi down for the count, leaving Dragon Lee as your victor.
Rating: 4.5/5

Preceding this battle was one that was surprisingly short, as Kyle O' Reilly faced Hangman Page in what was most likely the shortest match of the night. However 10 minutes was enough to get a handful of physicality in, as O' Reilly did not let up on his opponent, striking hard as ever and applying submissions like a well-oiled machine until Page tapped rather quickly. The malice behind Page was still there though, as he put Kyle's arm in a chair, launching him into the steel ring post like he was possessed by Alberto Del Rio, must to the dismay of Bobby Fish who was too late to save his fallen brethren. It is speculated that Adam Cole ordered Hangman Page to commit such a heinous act, and a this point in the angle I'd agree. I just wish these two can have another match somewhere in the near future, because I know they're capable of so much more than a 10 minute match.
Rating: 3.5/5

The six-man Tag Team Championship tournament is underway with a match between The Briscoes and Toru Yano vs ACH, Kushida and Jay White. This match was a usual 15 minute tag match, as everybody landed each of their spots while displaying some decent psychology. The match eventually broke down quite frantically, as a brawl broke out, spiraling into everyone connecting with their finishers until ACH stopped Toru Yano dead in his tracks with a 450 splash, claiming the first victory in the tournament.
Rating: 3/5

Jay Lethal opposes IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito on the other side of the ring for this next match. From the sound of the bell, these two went at it, showing intensity with every move seen in this match. Naito hits a spinebuster reminiscent of the legendary Arn Anderson to transition into Destino, which is his finishing maneuver. Sadly he did not connect, as Lethal reversed it into a cutter position. He attempted Lethal Injection, which that was also reversed but luckily for Lethal, he still inflicted significant damage with a spinning heel kick that looked devastating. After fighting off a 2 on 1 assault from his opponent and EVIL, he hit a Lethal Injection from the second rope and only gets a two count, shocking everyone in the process! The damage was already done however, as Naito had his powerbomb reversed into a two move sequence: a Hurricanrana and a third Lethal Injection. Great match, Lethal still looks incredibly strong after that win and Naito did not look weak at all. Even better yet, that's the 4th time in a month that a New Japan guy lost to an ROH wrestler! All around awesome.
Rating: 4/5

Our co-main event of the evening is Adam Cole vs 'Unbreakable" Michael Elgin for the ROH World Title. The feud that sent ROH into the mainstream wrestling scene at Best In The World two years ago, and here we are, it has come full circle with Adam Cole once again Ring Of Honor World Champion and Elgin opposing him as the challenger. This match was arguably one of the better ones these two had, as the story was well-documented heading into this match and they played off of it really well, using spots that are shades of their past encounters, including their more famous contest from 2014. The NJPW/CMLL star came very close to knocking the champion off the hilltop, but as always, Cole finds a way to win and survive, and here he is, hitting the Last Shot on Elgin for the pinfall victory.
Rating: 3.99/5

Finally, we have reached the main event of the evening after a great 3 hour show! Motor City Machine Guns, The Addiction and the Young Bucks all in one match, with a ladder between them! That's right readers, Ladder War 6 has finally come, the be all, end all of ladder matches right here! What else more can I say? This match was like nothing I've ever seen in this business. These men obviously don't have the meaning of the word danger in their vocabulary, as all of these teams risked their lives by going out there and having this match. By the end of it, table shards were everywhere, ladders and bodies were broken from the abuse and punishment they took. Christopher Daniels was the most damaged in this match, as he was bleeding profusely and his body was mangled from what he went through. I was left speechless by every spot, but none more than Daniels landing back first on a set-up barricade that I had no doubt was gonna break, but it never budged off the contraption. "The Fallen Angel" was more broken than every table, ladder and chair he went through, and that is no exaggeration. Kamaitachi and Jay White who weren't officially in the match went through tables as well, rendering them eliminated from the equation. The match culminated with an Indy-Taker off the top of the ladder on Kazarian through the table by Matt & Nick Jackson and the tandem ripping the titles from the clasp. We have new Ring Of Honor World Tag Team Champions, and God did they ever deserve it. That match was a brutal, gruesome masterpiece, and it cannot be disputed or brought up for discussion. I just hope everyone is okay after the match. An absolute classic, no doubt in my mind.

This was indeed Pay-Per-View of the year for ROH, if not argued as the best for this year. Between Death Before Dishonor, Wrestle Kingdom 10, NXT Takeover Dallas and this PPV, I am gonna have a hard time voting for PPV of the year if we ever do awards for 2016. Just magnificent.

This has been my first PPV review, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it. I am the Local Hero, the Review Guy Cameron Mcdonley, and at least for 7 more hours, this is Goodbye Everybody!

ROH Episode #262 Review: 9/28/16

I have returned once again ladies and gents, my name is Cameron Mcdonley, and I am a certified reviewer, and a bonafide smark, and you can't teach that. This website right here, is Rest Hold Party, it is the greatest ever and you can't teach that. Bada Boom, realest reviewer in the room, how ya' readin'!

Yeah, safe to say I won't ever do that lame intro ever again. Anyway, this is one of two reviews for the day, this one is ROH, Episode 262. There are nothing but positive things that needed to be said about this episode as usual, so let's get to another great show!

The show begins with a match between "Pro Wrestling's Last Real Man" Silas Young, and Toru Yano. The match was an entertaining one, filled with the wild antics of the GHC Tag Team Champion and the counteractive negativity of Silas Young. The story told was one of comical taste, but the in-ring action was stiff and didn't let up, although everybody payed attention to Yano's hilarity throughout the contest. The match ends with Silas Young using old school heel tactics to get the win, marking the 3rd time in three consecutive weeks that a Ring Of Honor competitor obtained a victory over a New Japan or Pro Wrestling NOAH performer. Tides are changing in ROH, and it's certainly to make this amazing show even better! Great match, enjoyed every minute of it!
Rating: 3.5/5

Preceding this comedic and fun match, the show takes a more serious tone for the remainder of the hour, starting with an epic, passionate promo from "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels. I swear to God, I have not seen a promo this intense, this emotional, this heartfelt and genuine in almost a decade. From his facial mannerisms to his body language all the way down to speaking about him being a horrible father and husband, this just screamed passion straight from the heart. A life without the Ring Of Honor World Tag Team Championships is a life he's not interested in, and he'd rather watch his family die than to let go of his championship belt. Although the feelings are certainly not legitimate, the way he conveyed his thoughts and feelings felt that way, and I don't know about you, but I consider that a job well done.
Rating: 5/5

From here, the show goes from serious and somber, to a tone of absolute darkness reigning over Las Vegas. Punishment Martinez went one on one against Cheeseburger and brutally dominated, but that's far, far from the primary thing worth mentioning in this match. Steve Corino and Kevin Sullivan were conversing back and forth, with the former leader of S.C.U.M failing to understand the reason why he was spiked on the head by his prodigal father at Best In The World earlier this year. Will Ferrara tried to help his fallen brethren after the contest, but the beating continued with no saving grace as BJ Whitmer laid out Ferrara and continued to assault him after he was unconscious. Sullivan dared and nearly begged Corino to put his hands on him and the rest of his "family", but nothing of the sort was done.

We come back from commercial break with a replay of a promo by Whitmer that was done during the advertisements, stating that Corino's day to make the decision is upon him, that they are his salvation and he is theirs. Recovering from that statement,"The King Of Old School" was seen gazing at the spike that started this all back in June. When asked by his broadcast partner Kevin Kelly about confronting him in the desert, all that came out of his mouth was a yes. I for one, am very intrigued by this entire angle and am hoping to find our what this confrontation in the desert will entail. Just a fantastic angle, one of the best I've seen in this business since the mid-2000's, if not ever.
Rating: 4.5/5

Most of the promos in the All-Star Extravaganza preview were really enjoyable, but the one that stood out to be the most was Adam Cole's. It wasn't one of the best promos ever and it certainly will not be as timeless as the one we witnessed from Daniels earlier, however it still implored me to listen to every word that the leader of the Bullet Club had to say, so it was still as great as the promos we've been hearing tonight. Most of all, it sold me even more to a rematch that I've been waiting to see since Best In The World 2014, and by all accounts that makes this a great promo. Well done.
Rating: 4/5

The main event of the already eventful evening was "Unbreakable" Michael Elgin and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs The Bullet Club (Adam Cole & Hangman Page), and I must say, it was far from a bad match as you can get. Tanahashi may not be the ace of Japan anymore, but he still can wrestle in that ring at the highest level, and this match is all the evidence you need of that. Even with a recurring back injury, this man can still wrestle better at 80% than most wrestlers can in their prime physical condition. Elgin displayed his inhuman power in every move and hold as per usual, and Adam Cole was once again at his best, especially when he sold for his opponent. Nobody in ROH sells like their world champion, I can assure you that. Hangman Page was the dark horse in this match, as he may not have been the most physical, but he had the traits of a classic heel with everything he did. Overall, I was highly entertained and enthralled by this match, as it completed its objective to inject a lethal dose of the hype train into their upcoming PPV this Friday.
Rating: 4.5/5

Unsettling Differences: An Interview With Blue Smock Nancy

Hello, i am the Local Hero, the Review Guy, Cameron Mcdonley and welcome to a special interview! This is one of the best independent bands today, a band that created one of the most iconic ROH themes in its entire history, the one and only, Blue Smock Nancy:

CM: Please welcome, my guest at this time, Blue Smock Nancy. How are you doing today?

BSN: I'm doing very well thank you, and I hope you are too!

CM: Thank you very much! Alright, first question: was Unsettling Differences intended for Kevin Steen or did ROH contact you and pay you to use that song specifically?

BSN: Little back story,Colt Cabana is a mutual friend of an artist I work with. Colt contacted us about doing "A Thrust Is A Must" (Rhett Titus), and then "Boom Boom" for himself. People were really happy with them so then [Kevin] Steen contacted me directly and asked for a song. By this point, I had been to several matches and hung out backstage meeting the ROH guys, If you watch the music video for Rush Rock Remix you'll see we kinda had access to the whole place that night which was beyond fun. So ultimately, the wrestlers knew to contact me directly and that I would work a deal with them, then grant ROH the license to use them.

CM: That is very interesting. I am a huge Kevin Steen fan and the theme itself. Great stuff. Next question, what went into the creative process of writing that song?

BSN: I watched one-hundred Steen clips on YouTube to get a sense of what he was all about. Then I asked him what song he wanted, what sort of pace he wanted to walk out at and what effect he wanted. He sent me two examples: one was a Coheed and Cambria song and I don't remember the other. I started with the pounding toms and the song kinda just wrote itself. I don't remember much after that, specifically when I'm in the zone or studio. It's kinda like that.

CM: That is definitely interesting, a lot of creative process had to have gone into such a work of art and I honestly hope you make more themes, which leads me to my next question. Are you planning to make any new themes for ROH or any other wrestling promotion?

BSN: The last couple I was asked to do, I turned down. I enjoy doing it but honestly, I have had so much music illegally downloaded and traded by so-called fans that it kinda killed it for me. YouTube Unsettling Differences and see how many people have free download links in their descriptions. Those same people will argue with me that what they are doing isn't wrong and. between that and YouTube to Mp3, it's impossible to make a reasonable income off of music these days, so I focus more on recording other bands and getting back to playing instruments. I have released a bunch of songs on Soundcloud and have 2 albums of unfinished Blue Smock material so I'll put that out whenever I have a chance to finish it up.

CM: That's a shame. It's not difficult to spend a couple of bucks on a theme you like, but that's my opinion.

BSN: It is frustrating to say the least, but the real fans are incredible. I agree. i spend money on anything that makes my daily life better and music is certainly one of those things.

CM: Agreed. two more questions left after this and one of them is a side question if you have time, but before that, I want to ask another question. Are you still a wrestling fan?

BSN: So my wrestling fan history got started as as a little kid watching Saturday Night's Main Event on NBC which would've been around seven years old in 1985. I grew up in Chicago so WWF would come to town and I remember going to three events over the years, seeing Hogan, Earthquake, Brutus The Barber, all those old school dudes. The entrance themes always got me super pumped so it had actually been something I've wanted to do since I was young.

CM: Do you watch any wrestling promotions currently?

BSN: At the moment, I don't. I'm not into the WWE product, not my thing, but I watch the old WWF and ECW videos when I'm in the mood. I also check out my ROH clips when they come my way.

CM:Nice, I highly recommend the 7.99 ROH Ringside Membership if you're a fan, very much worth it for all the old and new stuff, except for certain PPVs. Anyway, as a side question, any certain favorite wrestlers?

BSN: Favorite Wrestler? Current: Kevin Steen [Owens] All Time: Ultimate Warrior

CM: Thanks so much for your time. Anyway, anything else you'd like to add before we sign off?

BSN: Not really. Thanks for the opportunity though! I could go on forever about this stuff so hopefully I wasn't too scattered *laughs*

CM: You were definitely not, I enjoyed it! Anyway, that was Blue Smock Nancy, I am the Review Guy Cameron Mcdonley, and we say goodbye everybody!

StandOut Rankings! September 12-19th

Hello everyone it's the Headlock Master of the RHP cast, Dean Elliot and I'm here to show you who I believe stared the best in their respected promotions this week in wrestling. I'll be covering all American Wrestling promotions, so enjoy... or you can be a wanker and read the dime to my dollar, Cameron's reviews. I'm just joking Cam, don't kill me.

TNA: Aron Rex

The man formally known as Damien Sandow forced him to nominate him this week. Eddie Edwards also advanced in the Grand Championship Tournament and EC3 did return on Impact... but they've had their moments. This is Rex's debut and if he can't shine here, then he'll never.

Anyway, he defeated Trevor Lee in round 2 in a match that wasn't that good. The concept of this title sounds good on paper but this can't deliver good matches and it underwhelms people like Aaron Rex who can't get over solely on shoots on WWE.

Anyway, his finisher looked brutal, it was of confuse a running rolling forearm. Anyway, this wasn't a great debut, but the highlight!

Wrestler's Week Rating: ***

ROH: Jay Lethal

Jay Lethal came off losing his ROH World Championship with a kayfabe chasing the title storyline. At the only ROH show he was on this week, he teamed with EVIL and Naito because they had a one night storyline that was about stopping the common enemy which was the Bullet Club. They eventually dipped out on Lethal, leaving Jay in a 3-1 predicament.

This was until Nigel McGuinness brought out Elgin and O'Reilly who are the two other top contenders and the 6 man tag was almost restarted. Lethal ended up winning which made him look very very strong as he held his own alone against the Bullet Club for a long time. Also I believe this'll set up a 4 corner survival match. Even though I believe Cole will face Elgin at All Star Extravaganza.

Wrestler's Week Rating: ***1/2

SmackDown Live: AJ Styles

AJ Styles! What is more to say about who I consider the best wrestler of our generation. He defeated Ambrose in a heel fashion which wasn't needed as nobody really complained at all. Everyone seemed more happy then angry, angry was what I'd assume they wanted as Styles is a heel and won dirty.

Styles had a great Backlash and did great the following Smackdown where he dropped a decent promo which he botched once but it was forgotten. He ended the night losing but not getting pinned, Styles truly had an amazing week!

Wrestler's Week Rating: ****

RAW: Rusev

Rusev made a big splash as he returned tonight after a lifelong honeymoon. He took out Roman Reigns after Roman decided to be a douche and take out Rusev while he was already injured because Rusev was defending his wife's honor... really, who understands this storyline and genuinely sees Rusev as the bad guy? Anyway, he made Roman humble and ended the night on a big note as RAW got a big star back on television.

What should be considered is that RAW didn't do all so good the week Rusev came back. So it wasn't very difficult to not have him as this spot. Hopefully tomorrow he increases ratings.

Wrestler's Week Rating: ***1/2

American Independence:
Cody Rhodes

Now, now, I was going to say Marty Scurll following his enormous victory at the Battle of Los Angeles and the fact that he is the current PROGRESS champion. But, this is American Independence and BOLA was 2 weeks ago. So this week must go to the man who's made headlines on the independence. And that's an understatement!

Cody Rhodes (who'll soon go by another name in Ring Of Honor and IMPACT) has been all around the world this week. All beginning in his WrestlePro in a brutal encounter against his first opponent ever. Yes, the man he first faced in a ring was his recent in WrestlePro. Pat Buck took on Cody in a pretty good match which Cody ended up winning and afterwards delivering an emotional speech putting over Buck.

He then went on to Evolve 69 to wrestle alongside Johnny Wrestling himself in Gargano's final match in EVOLVE. Which was dubbed 'Farewell to an Icon.' Cody and Johnny wrestled the tag champs, Hero and Gulak and cake out on top in an emotional speech following it. This match was the main highlight of Cody's week in my opinion.

Cody will conclude this week when he goes against Tomasso Ciampa in Ciampa's final independent match in his career! At XWA Cross Rhodes, the two face off tonight which will be emotional and a great match.

Wrestler's Week Rating: ***3/4 stars!

That'll be it for this week. If you liked this blog comment your opinion, otherwise I'm out thank you all!

News: NJPW Legend Returning, Ryback On His Way To Japan

Hey guys, Tom Maher here to give you guys the news. This week we have huge rumours of a wrestling legend making his return to the squared circle, making his return to Japan. Recently, during the intermission of the G1 Climax we saw a vignette that read "Time Bomb is Exploding Soon!" Then we saw the date of November 5th.

If you don't know why November 5th is a big day this year for NJPW they will be holding Power Struggle which is the final pay per view leading up to the prestigious WrestleKingdom. Now, many people are wondering who and what this means. However a lot of people are speculating the return of a living legend.

Minoru Suzuki could be returning the ring to set up a match for the much prestigious WrestleKingdom. Many fans are praying that he returns. The man trained by Karl Gotch and the man that opened on of the very first MMA promotions is a huge name that could help gain more viewers for WK11. Suzuki has had two major matches in the last four years after winning Wrestling Observer's match of the year against Tanahashi in 2012 and Styles in 2014.

Many other people have speculated Ryan Reeves, better known under his ring name as Ryback, could be on his way to Japan. After sending a tweet in Japanese this has only heightened the chances and the hype over the big guy's debut. If we see Ryback in NJPW we are going to see some great matches. Him against Ishii would be awesome!

I hope this goes through, Maher out.

News: ROH Star On His Way To WWE

Hey guys, it's Tom Maher and in this blog we're going to be talking about how current Ring of Honor champion could be quickly dropping the belt due to rumours of a move to WWE. Last year something similar happened to three top talents however after several contract negotiations the stars remained put. This time it may be different.

Adam Cole won the belt from Jay Lethal at the most recent ROH pay per view. Jay Lethal's year long reign finally came to a halt as bullet club leader pinned Lethal for the 1...2...3. Adam Cole is a great asset to ROH as he leads the well known faction Bullet Club. After losing two of the Bullet Club's leaders in a few years with the likes of Prince Devitt, now Finn Balor, and AJ Styles jumping ship to the big time.

However, these two men have been very successful in the WWE as Finn Balor has held the WWE Universal Championship and AJ Styles is the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion. This could mean Adam Cole can be just as successful. Without a shadow of a doubt Cole can be an outstanding addition to either the main roster or NXT.

The man has bags of charisma mixed with a fantastic character and his wrestling ability is not far off amazing either. I hope this goes through and we Adam Cole as a champion in the very near future. Maher Out!

News: ECW Killed Proffesional Wrestling?

Recently in an interview with a wrestling site ECW legend Tommy Dreamer was talking about UK wrestling and how when he signed with the WWE that he would scout this young British talent and he would hire them to the company so a lot of the British superstars you saw today has came from

Then, later in the interview the journalist asked Tommy Dreamer about wrestling today and how it's declined in quality so much after the last 20 years and he replied with this. "I think ECW spurred a lot of garbage wrestling. Guys would look at myself and Sandman and think that they could put on a T-Shirt and sweatpants and call themselves a wrestler. There’s a lot more to it. There are some seriously great workers out there in the UK."

================

When thinking about the situation he does, unfortunately, have a great point. Anyway my question is what do you guys think the cause in the decline of wrestling was? I say that people aren't willing to venture to different companies like ROH and Lucha Underground. Talent over there are slowly earning more recognition but it's 10x less what they truly deserve.

Ring Of Honor Wrestling Review: Episode #260

Hello, Cameron Mcdonley again and welcome to another review! This time, it is a review of ROH Wrestling, Episode 260! Although two matches took place, there is a lot to be discussed regarding this edition, so let's stop wasting time with this dragging intro and let's get into the show!

The show begins with an intro recapping the events that happened at the top of the hour on last week's show, with the Bullet Club trading words with Jay Lethal before Los Igonerables De Japon appeared at the aide of the former Ring Of Honor World Champion. The match heavily announced between the 6 men happened at the top of the hour, as the two top wrestlers in ROH had each of NJPW's biggest heel factions on their side. At the midpoint in the match however,Tetsuya Naito and EVIL walked away from Jay Lethal due to miscommunication, leaving him secluded with the non-existent leniency of Adam Cole, Yujiro Takahashi and "Hangman" Adam Page. Michael Elgin and Kyle O'Reilly made their presences felt later on in the match just in time for a decisive victory, but the newfound hatred Lethal has for Naito is not salvageable, as that fire burns bright in his heart.
Rating: 4/5

From there we cut to a promo from the Addiction regarding their Ladder War against the Motor City Machine Guns and the Young Bucks on September 30th at All-Star Extravaganza (Which I will cover in full on this site, cheap plug), and if I'm gonna be honest, it's one of the better promos this team has had. they showed more passion and had conviction in their tone. Made me more excited for that match than I already was, so it completed its objective.
Rating:3.9/5

All-Star Extravaganza's hype package plays highlighting the Six-Man Tag Team Tournament starting at the PPV when Jay Lethal cuts off the feed and unleashes a scathing promo at ringside on Naito. Acting matchmaker Nigel McGuinness takes the mic and makes the match between Lethal and Tetsuya Naito official for 9/30, but stares a hole in the "Greatest First Generation Wrestler" and warns him to remember what happened last time he begged for a match. Great storytelling!
Rating: 3.5/5

Our main event is now underway, as Katsuyori Shibata challenges Bobby Fish for the Ring Of Honor World Television Championship! Again, for the sake of the reader, I'm refusing to spoil too much, as this match was an absolute work of art. These two phenomenal wrestlers displaying what can only be described as God-Given talent for 30 straight minutes in a ring where many amazing matches have taken place. Technical wrestling in it's finest hour was conveyed to this audience at Sam's Town in the most breathtaking of ways. The biggest shock of all, the most overwhelming surprise was who took the victory, but this masterpiece is way too incredible to put into words, let alone try to spoil for the audience that may be reading this. Match Of The Year candidate most certainly.
Rating: 5/5

Well, I hate to conclude this review, but all good things must come to an end. Tomorrow, I will review the September 15th edition of Impact Wrestling if I can. Until then, this is Cameron Mcdonley saying goodbye everybody!
