Bobby Roode is the No. 1 Contender for the NXT Championship

NXT TakeOver: San Antonio is going to get insane, especially with the main event already set in place. The biggest clash of the event will be headlined for the NXT Championship, with champion Shinsuke Nakamura taking on his newest challenger, Bobby Roode. 

Roode is one of the most over talent on the roster, and it only makes sense that he challenges for the championship. He won the contendership spot by defeating Tye Dillenger, Andrade "Cien" Almas and Roderick Strong, in a very entertaining match. 

The final two participants turned out to be Tye Dillenger and Bobby Roode, and just when it seemed Dillenger was going to get revenge from TakeOver: Toronto, Roode turned the momentum in his favor and won his prize, a main event spot in San Antonio. 

This is going to be an exciting match up between two of NXT's top stars, and both of them are over as hell. It'll be an exciting match up, and provide some fresh atmosphere when they clash. 

In my opinion, I believe Nakamura should retain the title, in order to have a proper ending to his rivalry with Samoa Joe. This way, Roode will have more exposure and support to come back to the main event scene.

Booking NXT! #1

Hey guys it's Tom Maher here and today Rest Hold Party bring to you a new series. We will be fantasy booking the biggest shows in WWE. We have myself booking the amazing NXT. I will be in charge of booking tournaments and Takeover's. Obviously I won't be making any additions to the roster unless I feel they're finished up with house show gigs or have debuted in real life. Also, my good friend Squid Devitt will be booking Smackdown as well as their exclusive pay per views and trying to make it more appealing than it already is. Finally, we have RAW. RAW is yet to have a booker but the well known blogger Cameron leads the chase at a primary candidate for the position. Now that we have that sorted let's get right into what I believe should happen for the next show.

Now, let's first take a look at this women's championship storyline. Asuka has been dominating the NXT women's division since the departures of huge names such as Nia Jax and of course Bayley. NXT haven't really built up any big women stars. Of course we have Liv Morgan leading the race but she is not yet a star. So, tomorrow night I would like to see Liv Morgan put on a hell of a match with Mandy Rose. I feel both women have big potential and I'd give them a nice 7 to 9 minute time slot. Let them build themselves and put on a clinic to show why women's wrestling in NXT is truly awesome.

Next up we will be taking a look at the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. I adore this idea and feel it should get some time. As we've already been told, Andrade Almas and Cedric Alexander will be taking on NXT Tag Champs The Revival. In my opinion this should go on for a solid 12 minutes to show off everybody. We see the highflying style of Almas and Cedric mixed with the ground and pound of The Revival. I feel this could be a great match. Throughout the bout I would have tension building between Cien and Cedric. Maybe Almas hits Cedric by accident or Almas chooses not to tag in Cedric. The Revival take the win and Cedric and Almas have a moment after the match where Cedric simply walks out on Almas possibly leading to a feud between the two.

Next up we're going to cut backstage to where William Regal is sitting at his desk. We here a loud knock and in comes Samoa Joe. Joe looks peeved off and demands that Regal give him his match against Nakamura or he'll raise hell. Regal refuses and says he hasn't come to a decision yet. Joe is furious and swipes the papers from Regal's desk and grabs Regal by his shirt and demands a match. Regal continues to refuse until Joe pulls him over the desk and puts him in his signature submission hold. People charge in after hearing the commotion and break it up before anything bad happens. Joe is eventually ripped off and the screen fades to an advertisement. I'd give this segment a solid 5 minutes to let Joe get to maximum intensity.

After we return from advertisements it cuts to a very shaky announce team as they try to calm everything down and tells the WWE Universe that Regal is on his way to a hospital to be treated and Joe has been escorted out the building.

Next up we see the debut of Dan Matha. This man is meant to be pure domination which is why we're going to have him debut against Angelo Dawkins. Dawkins is going to come out as confident as ever. Then the lights go off and we hear this awesome dark rock music and Dan Matha emerges from behind the curtains. He gets on the mic and cuts a short 1 minute promo to explain to the NXT fans in attendance why the reign of Dan Matha is going to run right through NXT. Matha then attacks Dawkins before the bell to draw some heat and the match lasts around 5 minutes. Matha destroys for most of it however for 2 minutes of so Dawkins gets offense in but it's a dominating display by Matha. Matha then gets Dawkins and beats him down again and again and again. They go to the announce table and put Dawkins through it. Matha has established himself as a force to be reckoned with. But then, from no where.

The Authors of Pain emerge through the curtain and face off with Matha before shaking hands. Matha looks at Ellering and smiles before picking him up for his finisher and laying him out. Ellering is taken off by medical staff and Dawkins manages to walk away with Medical Assistance. This whole situation will last around 10 minutes including the match.

Finally, to round of the night we here Tye Dillinger's music play. He walks to the entrance ramp and his music cuts off. We here Glorious Domination and Rode walks through the curtain while the fans sing his theme. The fans are estatic as Rode walks down the ramp and grabs a mic and announces that he is Tye's mentor and he is his protégé. Rode days that in the coming weeks Roode will be giving him challengers. The very first challenger you ask. Only The Greatest Man That Ever Lived. Austin Aries walks out to a nice pop and walks down the ramp and stares Tye Down. Aries has a mic in his and hands looks as if he's about to talk but instead lays out Rode with it. Tye then proceeds to attack him. This segment lasts 5 minutes giving the match a solid 13 minutes. The ref rings the bell and the match begins. It's pretty even but it ends up with Dillinger picking up the win. However, Aries had his foot on the ropes. The ref didn't see it and ,as Perfect Domination left the ring, Aries attacked the ref taking him out and laying him flat in his back. The night ends there.

I believe this was a good show as we saw a women's match getting a lot of time. We saw the Dusty Rhodes TTC progress in an awesome match. We saw the domination from Dan Matha. It leaves us wondering what is going to happen with Samoa Joe and we see Perfect Domination build some momentum head in into the TTC.

NXT Star Returning Soon

           Hello everyone, it is Austin Hoagland here for your latest wrestling news. It has been reported recently by WWE's developmental branch NXT's twitter page that one of it's injured superstars will be making a return at the September 29th live event in Lakeland, Florida. The man who will be returning? "The Drifter" Elias Samson.

          Samson suffered an ankle injury in June, just as he was starting to gain some traction. He is seen as a polarizing figure within the NXT fans. There are some that absolutely hate his gimmick and everything about him while others think he is a very valuable member of the star-studded NXT roster.

            Samson made his debut in NXT in early 2014, but has never really gained the momentum some wanted him to. This return could help bring him into the main event NXT status, but in that part of the card he might be overshadowed by big stars like Nakamura, Aries, Roode, and Joe. The only thing known for Samson is his future is not clear. You'll just have to wait and see.

Exclusive Interview With NGW Trainee!

Hello beautiful people my name is Tom Maher and today I have an exclusive interview which you have never seen before where I go behind the ropes with a NGW Trainee known as Cole. He is 16 years old and is an aspiring wrestler. Let's talk to him!

TM: So, Cole, tell us a little bit about yourself, who you are and what you do.

Cole: Well we can keep this answer quite simple... I'm a NGW trainee hoping to make it big in the wrestling community. Impressing the fans and making a name for myself with my athletic abilities

TM: That's Awesome! Tell the people a little bit about your gimmick and style of wrestling.

Cole: Well just like everyone else in the wrestling business I'm not going to stop until I'm the greatest. But unlike others I'm using my body as a weapon even if that hurts myself

TM: That's cool. Let's move on to some general wrestling questions. So, do you remember the match that got you into wrestling and initiated your love with sports entertainment?

Cole: Well what got me into wrestling wasnt just one match. Ive been a fan of wrestling since a young age watching the Hardy boys. Jeff inspired who i am today with his stunts what risked his own life and he stood out for me. But the matches you see today just keep getting better and better... For example, Bayley vs Sasha. Incredible match. Shinsuke Nakamura vs Sami Zayn. All these incredible matches. But not only is it WWE the uk wrestling scene is growing and getting better everyday. Some of the greatest wrestlers today came from the UK such as Zack Sabre Jr. Jack Gallagher and Nathan Cruz

TM: I have to agree. The rise of companies like Progress, RPW, ICW, NGW and more is really aiding the growth in top class wrestlers. Next up, what is your favourite match of all time?

Cole: One of my favourites is Sasha vs Bayley. It really gave the women wrestlers the respect they deserve as they train just as hard as the male wrestlers.

TM: Completely agree with you! Now, who's your favourite wrestler currently?

Cole: I dont have just one favourite as i love the technical wrestling of jack gallagher and zack sabre jr. But i love the high flying work of ricochet. The tag team ability from American Alpha, the Revival and The Young bucks

TM: Awesome answer! Now let's get into your work as a trainee. So, for people possible wanting to get into wrestling what should they be aware of?

Cole: Well if they want to get into wrestling it's a lot of work. Not only is it the training in the ring its the conditioning and staying fit. Its the work you do one the outside watching
matches and adding things to your arsenal.

TM: Great advice! Any habits people should avoid doing?

Cole: Well my advice would definitely be tp stay away from drugs. I know people often go on about it but it really messes up your body. I'd avoid smoking and drinking as it messes up your stamina and you need the endurance to carry on through your matches.

TM: Now we're going to come to a close with our second to last question. Is their any promotions you would love to wrestle for?

Cole: Any company whether thats in the Uk or elsewhere but i think most peoples aim is for WWE

TM: Agreed, agreed. Final question, what is your favourite promotion besides WWE.

Cole: It'd have to be NGW as they have trained me and will continue to train me till I make it pro.

News: NJPW Legend Returning, Ryback On His Way To Japan

Hey guys, Tom Maher here to give you guys the news. This week we have huge rumours of a wrestling legend making his return to the squared circle, making his return to Japan. Recently, during the intermission of the G1 Climax we saw a vignette that read "Time Bomb is Exploding Soon!" Then we saw the date of November 5th.

If you don't know why November 5th is a big day this year for NJPW they will be holding Power Struggle which is the final pay per view leading up to the prestigious WrestleKingdom. Now, many people are wondering who and what this means. However a lot of people are speculating the return of a living legend.

Minoru Suzuki could be returning the ring to set up a match for the much prestigious WrestleKingdom. Many fans are praying that he returns. The man trained by Karl Gotch and the man that opened on of the very first MMA promotions is a huge name that could help gain more viewers for WK11. Suzuki has had two major matches in the last four years after winning Wrestling Observer's match of the year against Tanahashi in 2012 and Styles in 2014.

Many other people have speculated Ryan Reeves, better known under his ring name as Ryback, could be on his way to Japan. After sending a tweet in Japanese this has only heightened the chances and the hype over the big guy's debut. If we see Ryback in NJPW we are going to see some great matches. Him against Ishii would be awesome!
