Tonight, The Blue Brand of the WWE will celebrate its hugest milestone ever: its 900th ever televised edition of SmackDown (now SD LIVE)! An achievement that will be rightly celebrated tonight, but also the go home show to this year's Survivor Series, an event that is hyped to its core. With matches on the card to determine who is the more superior brand in the WWE, Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar, and two interbrand championship matches, the event is going to be pretty much finalized after tonight's show. In turn, I've created a short preview for the milestone of SmackDown, leading up to the event.
Let's take a preview of SmackDown's biggest episode to date, the big 9-0-0!
Big Show, Big Title Match
There seems to be no other way to kick off the 900th episode like this! An Intercontinental Championship match between Dolph Ziggler and The Miz, who have very nice history together, to say the least. These two have created such a great feud and entertaining matches with each other, its impossible to ignore the thought of something special happening in this match as well. However, it can't be all the well good as there is a limited amount of time, but it is sure to do well however it turns out, as these two men know each other so well. The role of Maryse will play a big time role in this match, as she has helped prevent title reigns from changing before, but now we all can assume she's there to help get the title back around the waist of her husband. Dolph is always a fighting champion, and this match looks to be nothing but gold for SmackDown 900.
The Return of The Phenom, The Bearer of News
News reports have been blowing all over Social Media as it has been reported multiple times that The Undertaker will not only make an appearance on the 900th Episode, but also bring news about his status at WrestleMania 33. This is an especially interesting case, as many thought it would've been to advertise a late Survivor Series appearance, but that is now out of the question, and brings many questions to the minds of the fans. Will it be his last match? Who will be the opponent? These are just some of the questions that many of the fans want answered for the highly hyped return of the Deadman. An altercation with his WrestleMania opponent, earlier in the year, Shane McMahon, has a chance of happening, as McMahon is the Commissioner of the show. However, it can't be doubted that a return of the Undertaker is a must-see.
The Cutting Edge: Can Team SmackDown Live Stay on the Same Page?
Within 5 days time, all 3 finalized Survivor Series teams of SmackDown LIVE will go into battle against Team RAW, but the teams haven't exactly been the most friendly towards each other. However, the main concern is the men's division team, who have just one night earlier, failed invading RAW and prove a statement to RAW on their turf. This will likely frustrate the team and Team Captain, AJ Styles, who will continue to find a way to be together mentally. With the television return of WWE Hall Of Famer Edge, and his signature talk show, the Cutting Edge, Edge will be hosting the entire mens team, including team mascot James Ellsworth, in a segment that is sure to explode. After all, The Cutting Edge doesn't usually end in peacefulness. Will the team find a way to co-exist through Sunday Night? The Cutting Edge will help us find out.
