BREAKING NEWS: NBCUniversal/Charter Negotiations Could Affect WWE

According to Variety, NBC Universal are in a carriage-negotiation standoff with Charter that has a probability of seeing millions of customers lose access to channels owned by NBCU starting January 1st. The reason being is that Charter have rejected a package price for NBCU's channels that are similar to those paid by other cable and television distributors. It is due to that, that negotiations have come to a halt.

The results of this was a marketing campaign to pressure Charter's customers into calling them and ask to take a more flexible negotiation stance. If a deal does not come to fruition, there will be a total blackout of NBC Universal-related programming starting January 1st of 2017. The channels affected are as follows:Bravo, E!, Syfy, USA, MSNBC, CNBC, and Oxygen.

When reached for comment by Variety, this is what NBC Universal had to say:

"NBCUniversal values its partnership with Charter Spectrum, our third largest distributor. Charter Spectrum has been unyielding in its demand for terms superior to those agreed to by the rest of the industry, including larger distributors. Given this position, we feel the responsibility to inform viewers that Charter Spectrum may drop NBCUniversal’s networks at the end of the year, including NBC, Telemundo, USA, Bravo and hit shows including the #1 show on TV—Sunday Night Football, WWE, the Golden Globes, This is Us and more."

(SOURCE: http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/nbcuniversal-charter-1201949840/)

Understandably, this is a huge story for pro wrestling as well, knowing that WWE is the leading promotion in all of the world and this blackout if it were to happen, could drastically cut down most of WWE's viewership for RAW and SmackDown Live, which both are on the USA Network. Seeing how ratings have been lately for World Wrestling Entertainment, they cannot afford a loss as big as 2 million viewers or even more, given that Charter is the third largest distributor and a large part of the United States has Time Warner Cable.

We will keep you updated on this story as things continue to unfold.......

All Time Low - Wrestlers Whose Lives Were Ruined because of Drugs

This is not meant to be solely wrestling related, it's meant to send a message.
------
“Drugs take you to Hell, disguised as Heaven.” - Donald Lyn Frost
------
All Time Low - Wrestlers whose lives fell apart because of Drugs.

•Umaga - The Samoan Bulldozer, as many know him as, was a beast in the WWE in about late 2007’s to 2009.  Many intercontinental title reigns are in his name, many great moments and great matches also present themselves when on the topic of Umaga, the man was at a high in his career.   Unfortunately,  drugs and substance abuse formed a massive roadblock in Umaga’s path to success, when he was found dead at age 38.  What this man’s career could have been, well, we will never really know.

•Lance Cade - Lance Cade didn’t do much in his short career, which is very unlucky.  He did however have a few reigns as tag team champions with Trevor Murdoch, and was involved in the Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho storyline in 2008.  Lance was found dead at the age of 29, his death was ruled as Substance abuse.

•Scott Hall - Scott Hall was one of the main attractions in the WWE/F in the early 90’s.  He was a bad guy who people treated as a good guy.  He put on classics with the likes of Shawn Michaels.  The Intercontinental Title ladder match at Wrestlemania was one of his best and remains a frequently watched match even to this day.  After a transition from the WWF to WCW and then back to WWF (Now the WWE), Scott was in bad shape.  Scott is one of the more lucky on this list, abuse of drugs did not kill this man, but ended his career, and put a permanent stop to his super stardom.

•Test - Test’s WWE career was not very memorable.  Of course he had his fair share of notable storylines including one with Stephanie McMahon in which they were going to get married but because Triple H had drugged her and already married her, yeah, it was confusing.  It seemed as if Test was on the way to being something huge.  He had the right look, could talk, and was everything Vince wanted, but could he have really ever been something?  Countless suspensions because of WWE’s wellness policy tarnished Test’s record.  Neighbors of Test became suspicious when they saw Test sitting in one position for multiple hours, after a phone call, police arrived to Test’s house to find him dead.  His death was ruled as Drug and Substance Abuse.

•Curt Hennig - Curt Hennig, Mr. Perfect, was just that, perfect.  The perfect build, the perfect promo skills, he had everything a WWF/E champion needed, but yet he was went unrealized his entire career.  Although he is looked at today as one of the best Intercontinental champions ever, he never captured the brass ring.  In the early 80’s Hennig made his mark on the wrestling world as he entered the WWF as Mr. Perfect.  He went back to his roots in AWA before returning again to the WWF in the late 80’s, which is when his infamous undefeated streak took place.  Years later in 2003, after on and off relations with the WWE, Hennig was found dead in his home in Tampa, Florida.  His death was ruled as Cocaine Intoxication.

•Kerry Von Erich - The Von Erich name is one of tragedy.  Death seemed to greet the family name quite frequently.  Upon the death of Jack Adkisson, five of the Von Erich sons preceded him in death, three of these deaths were by suicide.  Most notable of these were Kerry.  Putting on classics with the likes of Ric Flair, Kerry was at a high in his wrestling career.  Unfortunately, drug and substance abuse after the amputation of his foot, led to Kerry’s suicide and cast a dark shadow over the world of wrestling in the early 90’s.

•The British Bull Dog - The British Bulldog was a major draw in the early 90’s when he’d fight the likes of Bret Hart.  He won the European championship but didn’t see much more after that.  Bulldog was a known user of Growth Hormones and Steroids.  Eventually after using them too much, Bulldog had a heart attack that led to his death.

Bobby Roode is the No. 1 Contender for the NXT Championship

NXT TakeOver: San Antonio is going to get insane, especially with the main event already set in place. The biggest clash of the event will be headlined for the NXT Championship, with champion Shinsuke Nakamura taking on his newest challenger, Bobby Roode.

Roode is one of the most over talent on the roster, and it only makes sense that he challenges for the championship. He won the contendership spot by defeating Tye Dillenger, Andrade "Cien" Almas and Roderick Strong, in a very entertaining match.

The final two participants turned out to be Tye Dillenger and Bobby Roode, and just when it seemed Dillenger was going to get revenge from TakeOver: Toronto, Roode turned the momentum in his favor and won his prize, a main event spot in San Antonio.

This is going to be an exciting match up between two of NXT's top stars, and both of them are over as hell. It'll be an exciting match up, and provide some fresh atmosphere when they clash.

In my opinion, I believe Nakamura should retain the title, in order to have a proper ending to his rivalry with Samoa Joe. This way, Roode will have more exposure and support to come back to the main event scene.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming main event of TakeOver: San Antonio?

TOPIC: Kurt Angle wants to wrestle Seth Rollins?

According to an article posted by Inquisitr, the 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist and former World Heavyweight Champion in both WWE and TNA is not only eyeing a return to World Wrestling Entertainment, but is also having a specific goal in mind as to who he wants to wrestle with in that very ring. Kurt Angle made it very clear who he was thinking about facing in an interview he conducted with Title Match Wrestling. Here is a quote from that very in-depth discussion:

"I wanted [to wrestle] Daniel Bryan, but unfortunately I don’t think he’s able to go anymore. But I’d say, right now, on that roster, Seth Rollins is the guy. I watch how he is, what he does, his style, his ability in the ring… Right now he’s one of the best in the world. There are other wrestlers that I wanna wrestle: Rusev, Cesaro, Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns. But right now, I think that Seth Rollins has the bullseye on his chest, and he’s the guy that raises expectations."

Although he did mention a few other names who are in that proverbial list of professional wrestlers that he wants to step in the ring with, it seems like "The Architect" Seth Rollins is on the very top of that list. It would certainly be an intriguing clash of styles, as you have a wrestler regarded as one of the best to ever step in a ring trading holds with a man who a multitude of fans believe to be one of the most exceptional wrestlers in this modern age. "The Man" vs "The Wrestling Machine" could be a money match in Vince's company.

So, what do you all think of this revelation? Would you pay to see what could be match of the year? Sound off in the comments below, and be sure to continue reading our site for more wrestling news, rumors and reviews! This is the Local Hero signing off. Goodnight everybody!

Name Change For Smackdown's Championship??

Back when both the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship were combined into one major championship they were known as the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

The name was kept this way for months. People who held this title include, Sheamus, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, Triple H, and Dean Ambrose. But, a few months ago the two brands separated once more. When this happened they changed the name again. The name stayed this way for almost 5 months!

Well, another name change has occurred. Current WWE Champion (the new name) AJ Styles, was the receiver of a new championship name! The name of WWE Championship has returned after being retired a few years back. Will the name change stay?

Eh, probably not.

This has been Edgin.. And until next time, Peace!

The Undertaker Expected To Make Appearance on SmackDown LIVE! Tonight

With SmackDown LIVE! getting prepared for the ultimate WWE World Heavyweight Championship match, between challenger, the beast James Ellsworth, and Champion AJ Styles, SmackDown has a chance of getting much more hectic. Multiple reports have spotted WWE Icon, the Undertaker, backstage at last night's RAW in Austin, Texas. Tonight's SmackDown LIVE! will be in Houston, Texas, and according to multiple reports, Undertaker is not only expected to be backstage, but also make an appearance on the show.

This is Undertaker's first appearance on WWE TV since the November 15th. 2016 episode of SmackDown LIVE!. As SmackDown went off the air, he told the men as Team Blue that were going to enter Survivor Series 5 days later, that if they lost, they all would face the wrath of the Undertaker. However, Team Blue did pull out the victory (in the men's elimination match) at the event, so that leaves the audience questioning what Undertaker would be doing, making an appearance on SD LIVE! It certainly isn't to congratulate them on their hard work.

So this had me thinking, what could Undertaker's reason for being on the show be? Then it came to my mind, as well as the minds of other reports. The Undertaker is coming back...

For AJ Styles.

Let's think about it logically here, how many serious contenders for the title does AJ Styles have right now on SmackDown LIVE!? Or faces, for that matter. Dolph Ziggler, Kane, Shane McMahon are the only ones that come to mind. Not a lot. So why not bring back the Undertaker, who is working his way back up to full health, to fight Styles for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, at the Royal Rumble? Headlines, headlines everywhere. Money for the WWE. A dream match fans have been waiting for. Why not at the event that kicks off the Road to WrestleMania, the event that has a history of making great matches, the Royal Rumble?

In San Antonio, Texas, Undertaker's homestate. Connection? I think so.

The feud could easily start tonight. Let's say James Ellsworth gets so close to taking the belt from Styles, but AJ powers through and wins the match. As he's celebrating, GONG! Lights go out for a while, lights come back on and the Undertaker is standing behind Styles, and attacks him with a chokeslam, Tombstone, and makes his message clear to Styles.

Or just cut a promo with Undertaker laying out the challenge to Styles for the Rumble, for the belt. But I like my way better.

What do you guys think of this news? Different ideas for the appearance? Let me know in the comments!

RUMOR: Finn Balor to return before WrestleMania

A former NXT Champion and the first ever WWE Universal Champion could be returning sooner rather than later to World Wrestling Entertainment, according to Wrestling News World. That's right ladies and gentlemen, Finn Balor could be on his way back to the WWE before the biggest event of the year, WrestleMania! He has been rehabilitating a torn labrum since Summerslam 2016, where the injury occurred due to a powerbomb on the barricade from his opponent Seth Rollins.

His initial timetable for a return was for him to come back at the Show Of Shows, but it has been speculated and reported by multiple outlets that his rehabilitation is running ahead of schedule. "The Demon King" seemed to confirm this himself in an interview with Sam Roberts, where he had this to say:

"Yeah, [the sling came off]. Like down here, I feel real good, but I've got to be real careful. The target's WrestleMania. There's talk it could be sooner, but really that's the hard target. And that's what I'm aiming for right now."
[SOURCE: http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2016/1205/619989/finn-b225lor-on-his-target-wwe-return-date/]

The original plan for the push of Finn Balor was to become the face of RAW after winning the universal championship, but obviously those plans were nixed after his unfortunate injury. There are plans to give him a major push upon his return to WWE television, but as this business is, plans and bookings are subject to change at any time.

The Survivors: 2016

Hello readers and welcome to a post Survivor Series article, and today I am talking about the Sole Survivors of the three Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Matches, all pitting Team RAW vs. Team SmackDown LIVE. Though RAW have gotten the better of these matches, with a 2-1 final result, Team SD LIVE did show toughness, and in every match, there was, a Sole Survivor. Or should I say Survivors, as not one match ended up with one person being victorious, instead a duo. Therefore, let's take a look at our true Sole Survivors for 2016.

Charlotte and Bayley: Team RAW

Charlotte, the current RAW's Women's Champion and Team Captain of the Women's Team for RAW, made a statement during and after the match. Though she didn't have as strong of a performance as others, Charlotte made clear what her intentions were, to show why she was Team Captain. She did that by eliminating  Natalya and Alexa Bliss, with two huge boots to the face, making a total of two eliminations for the champion.  However, her most lovable partner in the match made it to the end as well, as Bayley contributed also with one elimination, by eliminating the final member of Team SmackDown LIVE, the Team Captain, the SmackDown's Women's Champion, Becky Lynch, who fought hard but succumbed to a Bayley-To-Belly, the final pinfall of the match, giving Team RAW the win.

However, after the match, teammate time was over. Only a couple of seconds after the referee raised both Charlotte and Bayley's hands in victory, Charlotte brutally attacked her just then former partner. Charlotte hit Bayley square in the face with an elbow, then threw her into the barricade twice, and a big boot, completely incapacitating Bayley. It was a message sent by Charlotte, that she won't allow Bayley to take the title off her waist. This is a huge hint that there will be a match between the two at Roadblock, for the title, which I'm completely fine with. However, Charlotte wanted to show that she was the best on Team RAW, both during and after the match.

Sheamus and Cesaro: Team RAW

Though WWE's most dysfunctional team didn't get too much time in the spotlight, they did have the best performance in the match wrestling wise. The two men showed off both of their mat skills, and having a mini clinic with the Usos on Team SmackDown Live. As it came down to the final teams of the match, both teams left it all in the ring. The momentum shifted back and forth between both teams, but there was one factor that allowed Cesaro and Sheamus to become the Sole Survivors of the match. The factor was teamwork, something that before Survivor Series, Cesaro and Sheamus were not very strong at. However, they saved each other from defeat multiple times, and Sheamus was able to almost kick the head off of Jimmy Uso, forcing his brother to tap to Cesaro's Sharpshooter, giving Team RAW another win.

In fact, RAW Commissioner, Stephanie McMahon, and RAW General Manager, Mick Foley, were so impressed with the team's performance, they awarded them a RAW Tag Team Championship match against the New Day the next night on RAW. The match happened, and was a great match, as Cesaro and Sheamus were looking very ready to snap the New Day's Championship reign. However, thanks to shenanigans by Xavier Woods, The New Day won the bout, and left Sheamus and Cesaro with nothing in the ring. Though they didn't come out with the titles, the team had a strong perfomance at the Survivor Series event, and I have no doubt in my mind they will be back in the Championship picture.

Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton: Team SmackDown LIVE

This is the pair of men not many of us would expect to be the last ones standing on the side of SmackDown, but hey, the whole Survivor Series event was full of surprises. In the almost hour long match, both Orton and Wyatt had a strong performance. There was no way they couldn't, as there was a lot of time to fill. Both men ended up with at least one elimination, and were they entertaining. Orton had one elimination, as he RKO'd Chris Jericho, who was worrying about his list, and he got planted and was eliminated by Orton. Bray Wyatt, had two eliminations, but had the help of Orton on both of them. Orton hit a huge out of nowhere RKO on Seth Rollins, who was jumping off the top rope and looking to splash Wyatt but instead got RKO'd, and Wyatt pinned him to eliminate him. As the match came down to Wyatt and Orton against Roman Reigns, Reigns was about to hit Wyatt with the Spear, but Orton pushed Wyatt out of the way to take it for him. Wyatt then sealed RAW's fate with a Sister Abigail, and eliminated Reigns, giving Team SD LIVE the win.

Many people were looking for Randy Orton to turn on Bray Wyatt a lot of times in this match, and many opportunities were given for it to happen. However, Orton remained loyal, and stayed with Wyatt, which benefited Team SmackDown LIVE to the point of winning with confidence. However, come SD LIVE last night, Orton and Wyatt booked themselves in a match against Number One Contenders for the SD Tag Team Championship, American Alpha for next weeks SD LIVE. Though they have already moved on from Survivor Series, it'll go down as one of the wildest matches in the WWE, with winners no one would've expected.

Who do you think should've survived to the end?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Randy Orton did a feel-good thing for Shane McMahon's family. When McMahon appeared to hurt very badly, Orton, in heel persona, walked over to ringside where his family was, and told them that he was alright when it seemed very serious. Some fans noticed this, and took to Twitter with it, and Orton responded:

It's very great to see this kind of stuff in the WWE. It shows that either Heel or Face, they all come together as some of the best good in the world, making audiences feel extremely safe.

Rumor: AJ Styles to take on Undertaker at Royal Rumble?!

Originally, rumors were started about Styles vs HBK for the Royal Rumble 2017 after Styles tweeted a picture of a match card featuring himself and Mr. Wrestlemania. Many fans were hopeful but did not believe it was true as Shawn is retired and has been for a good while. Now another rumor has spread. Taker threatened Smackdown Live if they were to lose. People have been saying that this match because of this meaning that team Smackdown is probably going to lose unless they decide to have the match anyway. Regardless, if this match happens it is sure to be a classic. These two have put on some of the best matches in wrestling history and I am sure that this match would amazing. In a way most fans are probably hoping Team Smackdown lose now just so they can see this match. Its now also been rumored that WWE are planning on giving the Deadman one last run with the belt meaning that the Undertaker might beat "The Champ That Runs The Camp".

Interview With JTG!

Hello Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm Bill Gesios the owner of RestHoldParty and I'm here with an exclusive interview with Jayson Paul aka JTG! Hey Jayson, How are you?

I'm Great, just enjoying life.

That's great,I'm trying to do the same thing.. So let's get into the questions, so.. I always wanted to know, what does JTG stands for and how did you came up with that Nickname?

I came up with JTG in my development school ( OVW) and it stood for "Just Too Good".

Great! I also really want to know, How did WWE find about you and when did you sign with World Wrestling Entertainment?

I signed with WWE in 2006 out of OVW development school. Vince saw a video of Shad and I and loved our chemistry on screen.

Oh wow! What was the reception from wrestlers backstage after it was announced you'd been released from WWE? Or do you not really know?

I don't really know. But I DO KNOW that they were not in shock hahaha.
I was home for over a year after they released me.

That's terrible. Is there any possibility you'll return to WWE anytime soon?

There could be, I have never reached out to them and I don't plan on doing it, hahaha.

Well, now after the WWE draft which brand are you supporting the most? RAW or SmackDown Live?

I really don't follow the product but I would love Smackdown to do well.

That's Nice! To be honest I would really love to see you returning to WWE and joining Smackdown Live, I would be so hyped! So I also really want to know, Who's your favourite Pro Wrestler of all time (Except from yourself) and why?

I loved Bret Hart growing up. He motivated me to pursue my dream. He knew how to tell a story in the ring and he was believable.

Bret Hart was really awesome! I got a few more questions if you mind, This one was actually asked by a fan, What Wrestling promotions are you enjoying watching at the moment?

I haven't been watching wrestling as of lately and when I do it's WWE . I watch the major PPVs and thats it. Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Royal Rumble.

Nice! We (the fans) really want to know what you've been doing as of lately, like where do you live? Where are you working? If you have a family?

I live between Boston and LA at the moment. I've been working at the Indy's, working on a App, auditioning, acting, and writing a play.

That's great man! I'm really happy for you! Do you have any plans for the near future?

Shooting for film called the ultimate spider-man. Its a independent Fan-film about Miles Morale's. I'm playing Venom.

Pretty cool! I got one last question. Is there anything you'd like to say to the new wrestlers out there?

READ MY TWO BOOKS! learn the in and outs of the business through the pages of my books. Politics, heat and how to play the game.

Hahaha, Awesome!! Thanks for your time Jayson, I really appreciate it! That was Jayson Paul, JTG everybody!

SmackDown LIVE 900th Episode Preview

Tonight, The Blue Brand of the WWE will celebrate its hugest milestone ever: its 900th ever televised edition of SmackDown (now SD LIVE)! An achievement that will be rightly celebrated tonight, but also the go home show to this year's Survivor Series, an event that is hyped to its core. With matches on the card to determine who is the more superior brand in the WWE, Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar, and two interbrand championship matches, the event is going to be pretty much finalized after tonight's show. In turn, I've created a short preview for the  milestone of SmackDown, leading up to the event.

Let's take a preview of SmackDown's biggest episode to date, the big 9-0-0!

Big Show, Big Title Match

There seems to be no other way to kick off the 900th episode like this! An Intercontinental Championship match between Dolph Ziggler and The Miz, who have very nice history together, to say the least. These two have created such a great feud and entertaining matches with each other, its impossible to ignore the thought of something special happening in this match as well. However, it can't be all the well good as there is a limited amount of time, but it is sure to do well however it turns out, as these two men know each other so well. The role of Maryse will play a big time role in this match, as she has helped prevent title reigns from changing before, but now we all can assume she's there to help get the title back around the waist of her husband. Dolph is always a fighting champion, and this match looks to be nothing but gold for SmackDown 900.

The Return of The Phenom, The Bearer of News

News reports have been blowing all over Social Media as it has been reported multiple times that The Undertaker will not only make an appearance on the 900th Episode, but also bring news about his status at WrestleMania 33. This is an especially interesting case, as many thought it would've been to advertise a late Survivor Series appearance, but that is now out of the question, and brings many questions to the minds of the fans. Will it be his last match? Who will be the opponent? These are just some of the questions that many of the fans want answered for the highly hyped return of the Deadman. An altercation with his WrestleMania opponent, earlier in the year, Shane McMahon, has a chance of happening, as McMahon is the Commissioner of the show. However, it can't be doubted that a return of the Undertaker is a must-see.

The Cutting Edge: Can Team SmackDown Live Stay on the Same Page?

Within 5 days time, all 3 finalized Survivor Series teams of SmackDown LIVE will go into battle against Team RAW, but the teams haven't exactly been the most friendly towards each other. However, the main concern is the men's division team, who have just one night earlier, failed invading RAW and prove a statement to RAW on their turf. This will likely frustrate the team and Team Captain, AJ Styles, who will continue to find a way to be together mentally. With the television return of WWE Hall Of Famer Edge, and his signature talk show, the Cutting Edge, Edge will be hosting the entire mens team, including team mascot James Ellsworth, in a segment that is sure to explode. After all, The Cutting Edge doesn't usually end in peacefulness. Will the team find a way to co-exist through Sunday Night? The Cutting Edge will help us find out.

Excited for SmackDown 900? Tell me in the comments.

Huge Undertaker Wrestlemania 33 News

It has been reported that Undertaker will reveal his Wrestlemania 33 plans on November 15th's Smackdown 900.

The news comes soon after it was believed that the WWE had been prepared with the deadman's opponent for a while before the event.

Many fans believed that Taker would probably appear on Smackdown to try and set up a late survivor series appearance, but now it appears not.

It is much more likely that the former will be what the Undertaker's services are required for as he has recently been seen on crutches, and a match this soon could cause some bad damage to his health.

Watch WWE Smackdown Live 900 tonight to see what happens.

Summer Rae's Injury Revealed

Danielle Moinet aka Summer Rae has been missing from WWE events for a couple of months. She has been dealing with an injury for over 2 months and a half.

She hadn't announce anything till now.
She announced it a couple of hours ago on her Instagram page. She wrote a message along with the picture she posted (You can see the picture above).
And let's not forget Summer Rae was drafted to RAW, so that means that when she finally makes her way back to WWE, she's gonna compete on RAW.

Her message: "

Well it's almost mid November now, so maybe it's time to answer the question I get flooded with every single day on social media. For the past 2 & a half months I have been dealing with an injury. I've been very private & not shared my journey during this time. I don't know why that is actually. Perhaps talking about it & putting a spotlight on it makes it more real & that wasn't something I was ready for. A spotlight is put on us in every aspect of our lives so maybe I thought 'let me deal with this privately since it effects so many things in my life in & out of the ring'. Or maybe why I haven't talked about it is because I assumed it would be an easy fix & wouldn't take that long to get back to normal. That it wouldn't take this long to not only fix but diagnose as well. That alone is so frustrating. That holding pattern that your life is put in. For 9 years I've been lucky to lead a healthy athletic career in both football & wrestling so these aren't things or emotions I've had to experience before. I've gone thru so many emotions during this time but been very private with it all. I love what I do. I am absolutely in love with wrestling & the WWE universe. It's so unique & unlike anything else in the world! In this business you just go go go & putting your body on the line every night becomes second nature & you don't think much of it. But that isn't a normal thing. Our bodies aren't made to do this. But you forget that when you hear the roar of the crowd! I've been so humbled by the overwhelming support towards me on social media & seeing the fans outpouring love & passion. I must say it's bittersweet seeing it from home. Im lucky to be surrounded by an amazing team of doctors & physical therapists. Its a lot harder than I thought it would be to fix things but you only have one body so taking care of mine is a top priority right now. Sharing this with you guys has been weighing heavily on my heart lately & I felt like I needed to. It's been one of the most frustrating times of my life filled with so many different emotions. Generally speaking, the unknown is scary. But thru the greatest times of uncertainty in my life have come immeasurable things."

WWE Superstar Goldust, went on Facebook and confronted 3 unknown attackers who supposedly attacked his Transgender stepson.

Here is what he posted: "My step son who is a transgender was attacked last night and I'm fu@@ing pissed. Grow the f@@@ up and let people live their lives the way they choose. Stop all this hateful crap towards one another. The three men who attacked and beat her up are still out there. You boys are three lucky individuals that I wasn't there or you would on life support."

BREAKING NEWS: Former ECW Head Commentator Joey Styles Fired From Evolve

According to Wrestling News Source, Wrestlezone,411Mania and many other wrestling news outlets, WWE Alumni and the former head commentator of Extreme Championship Wrestling Joey Styles was fired from Evolve Wrestling. The reason being for this firing is that Styles himself made political comments live on the Evolve 72 broadcast that infuriated a lot of fans watching and many employees in the backstage area, one being the owner of Evolve, Gabe Sapolsky.

The aforementioned comments made by the "Loose Cannon of Commentary" were directed at Evolve ring announcer Joanna Rose, making an ill-advised joke about President of the United States, Donald Trump in what was viewed as sexist and derogatory towards Rose. For those interested in what was being spoken in those comments, here is what he said:

“Joanna, you look great tonight. And if our next President were here tonight, he’d want to grab you by the…”

These comments obviously struck a major cord with Sapolsky, who had a few choice words to say on Twitter:

"I deeply apologize for Joey Styles' comments and am furious"

"We've parted ways with Joey Styles and that's my final comment on this. Thank you for your support"

"EVOLVE is meant to be a fun escape from the world, not a basis of political debate. There was a mandate not to get political last night"

"Jim, if you specifically instructed someone not to do something like that on a show & they did it, you would have gone after them with a bat"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As of this writing, Styles is still employed by Chikara, but this does mark the second time he has been fired this year. The first time was by World Wrestling Entertainment, but that was seen as a sudden release with no merit to it.
